Arrecife, the capital of the island is 8 km away. From the airport (15 km), the only way to get around is by rental car or taxi. There is no direct bus service to the Costa Teguise. In Costa Teguise you can try out activities such as windsurfing, surfing and scuba diving. The tranquillity of the beaches here is another big attraction of the area. Las Cucharas beach with its golden sands and popularity with windsurfers is next to the complex. Teguise is the capital of the municipality and the old capital of the island. It is now one of the main cultural and touristic centres of the island.
